During the summer, Alfvéngården will be a place for concerts. In the garden, with a view over the river Österdalälven, live music will be resounding from invited musicians visiting Alfvéngården.

Erika & Cecilia and Mats Bergström
Saturday June 30, 2024 at 1 pm
In this Upland trio, the folk musicians Erika & Cecilia (Erika Lindgren Liljenstolpe and Cecilia Österholm) make music together with the guitarist Mats Bergström, who resides primarily in chamber music. The three meet in a repertoire that consists of the duo's own settings of Edith Södergran's magical poetry, but also of traditional songs, whirling polskas and heartfelt waltzes. Tickets can be bought at the concert entrance from 12 noon on the day of the concert.
Art exhibition July 5–21

The artist Margareta Stehr has painted conductor and composer Jonas Dominique's handwritten notes and so his music has become art! Welcome to take part in colour, form and music in a completely new way!

Jonas Dominique with string quartet
Friday 5 July 2024 at 19.00
Double bassist and conductor Jonas Dominique leads a specially composed quartet with Ida Meidell Blylod, 1st violin, Nina Wohlert, 2nd violin, Ulrika Westerberg, viola and Stina Petersson, cello. They offer a wide range of Jonas Dominique's music - everything from tango to double bass concerto. NOTE: the concert takes place at Kulturskolan, Kyrkallén, Leksand. Alfvén Day
Saturday July 6, 2024 at 1 pm
Concert and scholarship award. Alfvéndagen is traditionally celebrated on the first Saturday in July. Bring the picnic basket, blanket or your own chair and enjoy a summer concert in the green!
Gross & Falk
Sunday July 21, 2024 at 1 pm
Together with guitarist Mårten Falk, flutist Per Gross plays the program "Painting modernism and elegant baroque". Here we meet music by Andrea Tarrodi, J. S Bach, Francisco Tárrega, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Ladislau Müller and of course something by Hugo Alfvén. A varied program that offers partly well-known classics, partly new Swedish music.
Songs and piano
Saturday August 3, 2024 at 7 pm
A unique evening of songs and piano! Baritone singer Karl-Magnus Fredriksson comes to Alfvengården with French pianist Joséphine Ambroselli. Fredriksson is connected to the Royal Opera and can be heard in roles such as Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro) . Joséphine Ambroselli often plays with various European symphony orchestras, but especially appreciates working with solo singers. She loves Swedish music and Alfvéns is close to her heart.
